We went on a Saturday night for dinner and everything about our experience was GREAT. The staff was very attentive, the food (both cooked and uncooked) came out quickly, the place was clean, and they even entertained my 3 year old when he got "curious." My family of 5 did the Special AYCE, our favorite was the spicy pork belly and bulgogi. Their portions were very generous, so I'd recommend ordering slowly. We ran out of space on the table because we overestimated.
Went on my birthday, Great food and service I enjoyed it!! I recommend 100% , It's a bit small but other than that the food was great same with the ambiance!!
Returned for 2nd time and even better w the all you can eat and rice paper and lettuce wrapping. Lunch they said is usually slow and just at the pm opening at 5pm
Cute little AYCE kkbq spot! We came here for the first time right after opening on a Saturday, no wait. However as lunch came they became a whole lot busier with customers waiting outside for a table, which speaks on how great the food is and how amazing service was. Everything we got was incredible from the dipping sauce, brisket, garlic chicken, japchae, to seaweed salad. A lady and gentleman would always be around to check on us and make conversation with my 4 yr old. You're able to scan a QR code to get the menu and place order off the phone, getting orders out was pretty quick! We chose this place as a celebratory place for my husband and I's anniversary lunch. Will def be back! Prefer here than our KBBQ place in Santa Maria bc of all the different side dishes that are offered.
Amazing worth the wait and service was awesome. Will definitely go back if ever in the area.
10/10 RECOMMEND !! From the food to the amazing service! We came on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy. We were told a 40min wait time and that is exactly what we waited. We ordered from the specialized QR code for our table and everything arrived to the table at a decent time. Food is really good & the staff was amazing! We are especially thankful to Jay, Fernando & Carlos for the amazing customer service they provided us with. Everyone that works here had amazing energy. Thanks for making our AYCE craving while on vacation a good one! Will definitely be coming back when in town again!
During vacation, it was nice to find this ayce location! It was the only one we could find on Yelp, and we're grateful they were open on Christmas Eve. The servers are really nice and pretty quick with the turnaround. I appreciate that you can order wither directly with one of the servers or use the QR Code they provide to order online instead. The meat selection is definitely good and varied, and for $2, it might as well upgrade to the Premium. Our favorite we're the Wagi Beef Belly, the Galbi ribs, and the Pork Jowl. The Beef Tongue was ok, but a little too thick for my liking. If you're used to the ayce in LA, ve prepared to pay extra for some sides. For instance, the leafy salad was an extra $2, and the ramen was $3. The restaurant is pretty small, about 20 tables total, and the bathrooms are even smaller. There's street parking in the front, and if you're lucky, there's some parking in the back alley.
This place was packed for a reason! After signing up for the waitlist, we stood in the drizzling rain until were finally rewarded with a table over an hour later! It was well worth the wait, however, as we were served with lightning-fast speed. No sooner had we sat down than the plates started pouring out of the kitchen and onto our table... First came the starters. They are absolutely delicious, but not the full value of what you pay for at $35.99 per person, so save space. They will fill you up quickly; delicious kimchi fried rice, solid jab chae glass noodles, sticky spicy rice cakes (oh wow these were good. We ordered two more plates of them... sesame-covered, sweet, crispy yet chewy...), a steamed egg (+$1), corn cheese (this simple combo is absolutely amazing) and all the little plates of delights, including kimchi, seaweed, and cucumbers. I could easily eat a a whole delicious and nutritious meal with just this course, honestly. Then came the meats: we got beef bulgogi (a classic; so beyond yummy), beef brisket (very tasty, especially with the dipping sauce they provide), pork belly (not my favorite; very fatty; chewing took forever), sweet and spicy chicken (very good; reminiscent of orange chicken), and pork jowel. I also got a plate of vegetables to ensure that daily fiber intake: we got zucchini, onions, and mushrooms. Make sure to cook the mushrooms upside down, as they begin filling with juice like a magic cup when cooked for long enough. Awesome! All in all, despite the long wait and the price tag, this was an incredible place to get dinner. It's such a fun experience with a group of friends, the servers are all accommodating and efficient, and the food was amazing. Only reason to dock it a star was the music playing; loud EDM was bumping over the speakers, as if we were at a rave, drowning out conversation and creating a frantic atmosphere in which to eat our food. Didn't know whether to shovel down rice and meat or to get up and start bouncing to the beat!
It's great that SB has Korean BBQ presence, well done, Kimchi! The place is cozy, not sure if it can accommodate a party of 10 or more. Nice for 2-4 people. Not a long wait for a Saturday late afternoon. The ordering process is different in that you order via QR, but I had a glitch as we waited over 10 mins to find out the first order didn't go through, then a new order was placed as 5mins later the order came (mind you we had already been seated and drinks served for about 15mins, so close to 30 mins before food arrived). Beyond the initial glitch, ordering food was a breeze. Ban chans were not automatically refilled, a server needed to be flagged for this. (The server feature in the QR wasn't effective). The ban chans included cabbage kimchi, cucumber Kimchi, seaweed salad, onion/jalapeños, and Mac salad. The cucumber kimchi was not a long fermented one, rather fresh cukes with red sauce drizzled over. I had the merlot, not bad for the only red selection and hubby had the bottled beer, mellow and nice. The meats: most plain (I marinated) selections were fatty but good flavor. We enjoyed the plain pork belly the most. The spare ribs were unusual in texture, and too sweet for both of us. The bulgogi was also too sweet. Both items caused burning of the grill and unappetizing odors, so if you order those, cook them last and turn off the heat quickly after they're cooked. I'd go back but I've had BBQ where meats feel and taste more premium than kimchi. It was a nice experience though I will not be running back to have again super soon, maybe after a few months or so. Solid three point five stars, but rounded to 4.
